First of all, thanks to all of you who came out to the "National Music Center" this past month and made it into such a great success! It was a pleasure to showcase our new tunes you all of you. We are set to publicly release the new duo CD Material in early 2013, so please stay tuned for exact dates. As we start gearing up for the summer shows we are kicking it off with a duo concert at Beatniq in Calgary, CA. Go to the performance page for more details! Now that Spring is finally in the air the creative process is kicking into high-gear. Starting with our lead vocalist Johanna Sillanpaa's third solo album getting ready for release and Aaron Young's 2nd solo guitar CD. The group is also planing to start pre production on their highly anticipated 3rd album this fall, so lot's to come back and get updated on!

Greetings Fans:) We may have been quiet lately but we promise that good things are happening behind the scenes here in winter wonderland. We are starting the creative journey of creating another album this year and can't wait to share some songs with you soon! We are proud to announce that our lead vocalist Johanna Sillanpaa is gearing up to release her third solo album " Make of me" soon. Happy Holiday to all our friends out there:) We have had an amazing fall performance wise with the JazzKomm showcase in Berlin as well as the Sonoma Showcase festival in Peoria, Arizona. A special thank you goes out to Cameron Smith and Ken Schilling for taking us away from the winter misery and bringing us to beautiful Arizona. We have a busy December ahead of us and for those of you who are in the Calgary area, we will be playing our annual Christmas concert at Beatniq Jazz & Social club again this year. It’s been a great summer and we are now all back in Calgary gearing up for the
new adventures:)
We have had a chance to play with so many great musicians this summer both here
in Canada as well as in Europe.
We recently had the opportunity to perform at JAZZKOMM in Berlin, Germany and
look forward to many more trips in that direction!
For all our US fans, we are coming down to the Phoenix area again this
November, so check back for more details on our performance page!

It’s been a busy spring and now summer & music festival season is here! We
will be appearing at a number of festivals over the summer, so please check the
performance page for dates and venues in your area:)
We had a wonderful tour down in the south including a performance at this
year’s SXSW in Austin. What a great crowd you all were down
there, we look forward to another visit in the fall.

The Olympics are here and it sure is an exciting time to
be in Canada!
We are one of the lucky bands who get to go down to
Vancouver and represent our province Alberta during the games. For exact

Happy 2009!
It’s great to be able to start of the new-year with a new album and with new
opportunities on the horizon. As a band 2008 was very productive and we are now
ready to get out there and tour with ‘Under My Feet’.

It’s been an amazing and very busy summer and there are still
so many exciting things on the horizon to look forward too!
My band project 'Sillan & Young' is gearing up to release
our sophomore album 'Under My feet' and we need your help with
a big decision!
In order for us to really maximize the marketing resources
around this CD release we need to pick one song from the album that will be
released to radio stations across Canada and beyond!
We have set up a voting system on our "My Space" site and we need you to take a
listen to the song options and place your vote on the song that you think will
best represent us in a national Radio release!

going to be such a great experience and we can hardly wait to get on that stage

producer Russell Broom (Jann Arden’s Producer & co-writer).

Good news!!!!
Our Guitarist Aaron Young is back in town from a long touring stint with our friends in the band ‘The Polyjesters’.
We are now very close to wrapping up our new CD and we are all getting quite excited to take this new material and go on the road!
The latest on the production developments is that we’ve decided to add some live strings to a portion of the songs and therefore have to move our CD release till June 2.
I know some of you wish we wouldn’t delay our release, but I promise …..IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!!!!

First I'd like to start off by telling you about our new Album. We've had the great pleasure of working with Producer Russ Broom(Jann Arden) on this album. It's been an amazing experience and we all feel that Russ has really assisted in developing a new fresh sound and has taken our songs to a whole other level. This year we have also added our friend and pianist Chris Andrew to the group, Chris is also featured playing throughout the whole new album.
We are scheduled for a late April 2007 release, the venue is TBA, so please check back with us soon!
